Ministries

This ministry is here to get men together more often and to make those times as worthwhile as possible. In other words, we are all about Fellowship and Discipleship. Come be a part of something good! If you are interested in getting more involved with the men’s ministry, contact Jason Schuman or Bob Swope for more details or check the church calendar for upcoming events. We’d love to see you there!

Jesus told us to visit those in prison (Matthew 25:36). Our jail ministry to the Daviess County Detention Center provides spiritual support, an opportunity to hear the Gospel, and reentry assistance to inmates and families. Contact the church office (270)-684-3406 if you have a family member or friend in need of ministry.

Our ladies meet monthly in someone’s home for food, fellowship and a devotional. the Dorcas group makes fleece blankets for Hospice patients, baby blankets for Care Net, and T-shirt dresses for little girls in third world countries. The ladies have a Wednesday night Bible class at 6:15 p.m. and meet weekly for Bible study either at the church building or in someone’s home. Finally, the ROSE group (Reflecting Our Savior’s Example) encourages others by sending cards, putting together gift baskets, keeping in touch with our college students, visiting shut-ins, and helping with other needs as they arise.

Our Children’s Ministry serves children from birth through 6th grade to know more of the Word of God, understand the love of God, and discover ways they can serve others. Partnering with parents, children grow in their faith through worship, Bible study, service to others, and outreach. Owensboro Church of Christ offers a variety of learning experiences including Sunday morning worship and Bible study, service opportunities, social gatherings, and family events. For more information contact our Associate Minister, Andrew Serumgard (andrew@owensborochurchofchrist.com).

Students in grades 7-12 fine a place where they can belong, encounter God, and be transformed by Jesus. Our young people worship, serve, study the Bible, and spend time hanging out with other students. Each one is encouraged to use their talents and encourage others. For more information, contact Andrew Serumgard (andrew@owensborochurchofchrist.com).
